Second Round Results

28 entries were received in the four days voting was open. A number of entries were suspicious this time, so the final number of entries used was 21. Suspicious entries had either no name or they weren't from a member of the Cordia e-group, and they scored the last matchup very strongly in favour of Cordia 1. Other cars scored random low marks, and the marks were often inconsistent with which car was chosen as better looking. I excluded any entry that looked dodgy and was from an unidentifiable source. This is the reason that I ask everyone voting to enter their Yahoo Groups identity on the voting form.

Cordia 1
Cordia 2

Average: 5.90 / 10

Average: 6.14 / 10
Winner: Cordia 1, 11 votes to 10.

That's about as close as you can get.
Look at the results sheet and you can see that among named voters, these two cars
scored similar marks but Cordia 1 was usually the preferred
choice. Voters who didn't enter their name (lurkers? lazy buggers?) preferred Cordia 2.
Cordia 1 won by one vote, despite scoring a lower rating out of 10.

Cordia 1
Cordia 2

Average: 5.48 / 10

Average: 4.71 / 10
Winner: Cordia 1, 13 votes to 8

Another victory for the lightly/conservatively modified Cordia 1.
Interestingly, this car has now survived two rounds and will go on to be one of the four
cars in the semi-final. Voters can't really fault it, whereas its latest victim, Cordia 2,
scored mostly clear losses or narrow victories. How far can Cordia 1 go if it draws some
tough opposition?

Cordia 1
Cordia 2

Average: 6.62 / 10

Average: 7.19 / 10
Winner: Cordia 2, 12 votes to 9

Cordia 1 in this matchup still has a lot of fans. During the first half of vote counting,
it was leading, but in the end it was another victim of more radical styling.
The result was a victory to Cordia 2, though not by a huge margin.
Cordia 2's silver paintwork emphasises the angular yet sleek body shape, and the
use of chrome parts and red racing seats suit the car well.
Random statistic: Cordia 2, the winner of this matchup, is one of the less-than-half
of Cordias in Round 2 that still retain the original black plastic side striping.

Cordia 1
Cordia 2

Average: 6.71 / 10

Average: 8.38 / 10
Winner: Cordia 2, 18 votes to 3

Another victory for Cordia 2, but more controversial this time. Suspicious entries were
received, apparently trying to stack the results in favour of Cordia 1. These were not
included, making the view of the voters clear: Cordia 1 is a fine looking car (third
highest rating of any car in round 2!), but the originality of Cordia 2 still gets the nod.
